I have found new home for my photos from Picasa http://picasaweb.google.com/evagrelsdotter . There are all my photos from National Museum, Copenhagen... all of those which didn't fit into Flickr. And I will use Picasa for this day forward.. and probably move all of my photos there when I have extra time.

Saatampa jopa tehdä sinne erillisen projekti-kansion tai pari valmiita tai/ja keskeneräisiä projekteja varten. National Museum of Denmark and 12th night Coronation

I have been editing photos from National Museum since we came back home six days ago from our trip to Denmark (and Sweden where we participated to Drachenwald 12^th night Coronation). We came to Copenhagen Denmark Thursday week ago and spend one night there. At the Friday morning we went to see National Museum. The Museum is huge and there are lots and lots to see. We will definitely go there again when we have an opportunity to do so. It is as good as Stockholm’s National Historical Museum. The kind of Museum you want to see again. National Museum has a very fine museum shop also which makes a big hole in your wallet. I bought couple very good books and some souvenirs. Most of my photos from National Museum is at my Flickr account. Not all because I forgot that the limit of free account is 200 pictures (how stupid!).. and now I think I need to find a new home for my photos. If I can I don’t want to pay for putting them to the Internet. Any suggestions?

Friday after spending good time at museum we took a train from Copenhagen to Hässleholm Sweden. Tece was there already waiting as was others and they picked us and droved us to the event site. The event was held at the same place than Nordmark’s Double Wars. It would be cool to go Double Wars this summer and see the site in summer time.

Olen käsitellyt Nationalmuseetista (Kööpenhamina) nyt kuutisen päivää ja kuvat ovat nyt Flickrissä. Ainut vaan, että olin unohtanut että ilmaisen kuvantallennuksen raja on 200 kuvaa ja seuraavista pitää siis jo maksaa tai poistaa vanhempia kuvia. Ei siis auta kuin etsiä joku ilmainen ja parempi paikka kuville Internetistä. Olisiko kenelläkään kokemuksia tästä asiasta?

Mutta siis menimme viime viikon torstaina eli loppiaisena Kööpenhaminaan. Vietimme siellä yhden yön ja perjantaina aamulla kävimme tutustumassa Kööpenhaminan Nationalmuseetiin. Museo oli todella vierailun arvoinen ja ainakin yhtä hyvä (ellei parempi) kuin Tukholman Historiska Museet. Nationalmuseetiin pitää päästä uudelleen, siellä oli niin paljon nähtävää! Myös museon kauppa oli mahtava ja teki ison loven lompakkoon. Ostin muutamia kirjoja ja tuliaisia sieltä :).

Myöhemmin perjantaina otimme junan Kööpenhaminan lentokentältä Hässleholmiin Ruotsiin. Juna-asemalla meitä oli Tece ja muut vastassa ja saimme kyydin tapahtumapaikalle, Drachenwaldin loppiaiskruunajaisiin. Kruunajaiset järjestettiin samassa paikassa kuin Nordmarkin Tuplasota on viime vuosina järjestetty. Olisi hienoa, jos tänä kesänä pääsisi sinne uudestaan Tuplasodan aikaan ja nähdä miltä paikka näyttää kesällä :D.

After Christmas and New Year celebration

Yes, I was right I feel now more and more inspired. I have made plans for this year and it looks like I will be busy :D. I have couple of projects that I will start soon. And everything will be now a lot merrier when I opened one of my Christmas presents and there was the better camera that I have longed for! Now it is only up to me to learn how to use it.

My first naalbinded socks with round start are finished. I posted at October that I have learned how to make round start . Elsa got the socks for Christmas present.

I will start making new knee high socks using the round start for me soon. I bought wool from Elzebet at Dies St Anna event for the socks. She has hand dyed the wool with madder and it is very pretty. The socks will be great for my new garters also. I got these pretty garters with bronze spiral decorations from Sahra as Christmas present :). The graters are perfect Iron Age bling bling! Sahra has also hand dyed the wool with madder and the garter is based on findings at Kaarina Kirkonmäki cemetery (grave 27).

I have decorated my Birka coat with linen tablet woven band (also a gift but I got it at Academy) made by Tece. Now my coat looks more finished.

And I have started making Viking baggy pants for UlfR :D. But more about pants later I still have lots of sewing to do.

Joulun ja uuden vuoden juhlien jälkeen olo on inspiroitunut ja rentoutunut. Ensi vuoden suunnitelmat on tehty ja kaikenlaista kivaa on luvassa. Muutamat projektit alkavatkin jo heti miten. Projektien valossa tilanne näyttää entistäkin hauskemmalta, kun sain lahjaksi uuden kameran, jota olenkin pitkään toivonut! Nyt täytyy vaan oppia käyttämään sitä kunnolla.

Ensimmäiset pyöreällä aloituksella tehdyt sukat (joiden aloittamisesta olikin jo lokakuussa juttua) ovat nyt valmiit ja annettu joululahjaksi Elsalle.

Seuraavaksi teen uudet polvimittaiset sukat itselleni pyöreällä aloituksella. Minulla onkin kaunista Elzebethin käsin mataralla värjäämää villalankaa sukkiin, jotka ostin Annanpäiviltä. Sukat sopivat sitten mahtavasi Sahralta joululahjaksi saatuihin pronssisipiralleilla koristeltuihin sukkanauhoihin. Nuo sukkanauhoihin käytetyt langat on Sahra myös itse käsin värjännyt mataralla. Ja sukkanauhojen malli on peräisin Kaarinan Kirkonmäen haudasta nro 27.

Olen koristellut joulun alla Birkan takkini pellavasta tehdyllä lautanauhalla. Sain lautanauhan lahjaksi ruotsalaiselta Teceltä Akatemiassa :). Nyt takkikin näyttää viimeistellymmältä!

UlfRille olen aloitellut hiljattain myös tekemään viikinkiaikaisia pussihousuja. Niistä myöhemmin lisä.
