Again another great weekend!

Finally I can write about last weekend! It has been very difficult to write anything here because we had a secret about we were going to steal lady Sahra and take her to Tallinn to have her bachelorette party. And I have to tell that last weekend was real fun and my abs are still hurt for obvious reasons (laughing too much). Coming back from Järvenpää last evening wasn't fun because of snowstorm. But thank god I didn't have to drive back to home. I had my naalbinding things with me and I know now how to make thumb for the mittens and my first naalbinded hat is almost done. I will give it for Ulf for Christmas present. At Tallinn we went to fabric stores and I bought some green wool. I didn't buy so many things during our trip because I didn't have car with me.

This is the hat:But now I really have to go to read some articles. We are making an extra arts and sciences number for our Barony’s (Aarnmetsä) magazine. And I have lots of pages to read… and very interesting stuff..

Tallinn

I told earlier that we went to Tallinn last Saturday. Our four hours or so trip was success. The weather was very good and not too warm and not too cold. And of course Tallinn was beautiful as always. I had a little list about things I was interested in buying if I could find them. But there wasn't any necessary to find anything. So we walked little bit at old Tallinn and went to eat at Olde Hansa. I didn't have my camera with me, but Olde Hansa has web pages http://www.oldehansa.com/ where you can find more about the restaurant and their shop. Olde Hansa has online shop also.

One of things I was looking for Tallinn was clay plates. We have only wooden plates for the SCA events and those wooden plates are quite old (we have bought them at Budapest years ago). They didn't have clay plates at their store, but I was able to buy two clay plates they use in their restaurant (plates were still hot like they were taken from dishwasher hah hah). And I bought a very beautiful small glass bottle and a necklace. I was looking for to find good container for salt but I didn't. I was still more than happy about things I bought.

Food was also good as usually. I ate wild boar with spelt, berry jam, sauerkraut, onion jam... and a rose pudding. I was almost too full before the rose pudding.. but how can I resist the tempting call of the sweet and soft rose pudding??? Well I can't. Olde Hansa's beer is also a good reason to go there again and again. We ordered honey beer, herb beer and cinnamon beer and tasted all of them. I think honey beer was probably the best.

Weekend with friends and fun things to come

I had a change to spend my weekend with friends. We had three visitors here the whole weekend. It was nice to just relax and do other things than normal housework and SCA things. So we played some role playing games, eat and drink well. After this weekend it is again easier to start doing things again. Next weekend I am going to Tallinn with Ulf and Tofa. I am so waiting for that!!! I have been waiting to go there for long time. There has been about couple of years since I had a change to go there. I am looking for to visit Olde Hansa and if there isn’t going to happen anything else that visiting Olde Hansa.. I would be more than happy. I heard that they have more things for sale at Olde Hansa’s store so it is going to be interesting also. But that atmosphere at the Olde Hansa… that is something I miss so greatly. Ok, I miss old Tallinn also.. Last time I was there it was snowing and the weather wasn’t great, but I will still never forget it. I just hope everything goes well.

I don’t yet know how to put pictures here that way you can click it to make it bigger. Some of the pictures are like that, but not all. I don’t see all the buttons in the page where you can compose texts. I have tried to use Mozilla but it doesn’t help. ???
